Photo Album

  I want to use the “Photo Album” function on the Dashboard. I would like to add photos or an entire gallery to the Photo Album. There is a “Categories” dialog box, but none of the categories I created in my Media Library are listed.

  How do you create a Photo Album? To what does “Categories” refer in this part of the Dashboard?

  Oddly,there are no instructions about this function anywhere I can find…

  What is the URL of the blog you’re referring to please? The one linked here has been inactive since 2011 and contains no posts and the domain linked to your username is a parked domain.

  I am not aware of any Photo Album feature on the WordPress.com dashboard and it is also not possible to create categories in the Media Library. The Categories tab on the WordPress.com dashboard menu refers to post categories and has nothing to do with media files.

  Hi kokkieh — THANK YOU for taking the time to reply. Not sure how that evergreenletter blog address got into the post — it is really old. I figured out my problem with the photo album — that function and the categories for media are both upgrades I installed. The Media Library one is called “Enhanced Media Library” and I’d highly recommend it. Too bad they used the term “categories” again… Thanks again for your time, I really appreciate it!

  The enhanced media library is a plugin on WordPress.org websites. It is not currently available on WordPress.com, so we wouldn’t have been able to help you here in any case.

  Still glad you got it figured out.
