Photo album help!

Is there a way to make a photo album within a page? I can see how to make a gallery but am running events so would love to have a different albums to separate the images. Can you help please! :)

You can add multiple Galleries in a single Post or Page or multiple Pages with a Gallery in each. Let me know which way you want to go and I’ll explain further. (on mobile right now so difficult to type)

Ok. It’s pretty easy really. Once you add the first Gallery and are back in the Editor place your cursor where you want to add another Gallery and repeat the steps for the first one.
Keep in mind the more images you add to a page the slower it loads. Eventually you will want to look at multiple pages.
One thing you should do regardless is resize and optimize your images before uploading them.
Still on mobile unfortunately so I can’t add links but will try to do so soon.

I think your ‘it’s pretty easy’ comment was the kiss of death for me lol I’m a bit lost :(
I’ve tried to add the photos from one event but it just adds them all onto the page. I was hoping to make them into a single album that people could click on to reveal the photos. Then have a separate album for each event. If that makes sense. Sorry if I’m being daft, just a bit confused.

One more thing, will you want captions or text by each “index” image?

I’ve just got a personal plan I think, if that helps.
Each album will hold images of a different event so I guess I’ll want to have an album image and text that says Halloween 31.10.16 or something? I won’t have text or captions alongside the actual event images though. Does that make sense?

Looking at your site I only see Pages and don’t see that you are publishing a Posts page, unless I’ve overlooked it. If you are, please let me know.
There are two Page tabs that I can see in your navigation bar, Events and Gallery, that could be Posts rather than a static Page. By publishing and adding a new Post in either the Events or Gallery category you could use a Custom navigation Menu to display those Posts separately on a special Category Page-one for Events and one for Gallery. And being Posts, you can easily then link one to the other “post” event. :)

Now I’m going to refer you to my neglected photography site so that you can see what I am talking about. Open it in a new window so you can read along. On the left side you’ll see a menu “The Gallery FAQ” and a down arrow. Click on the arrow and then click on “Gallery Posts”. By adding the “Gallery” category to each relevant Post, its created a way to display only the Posts with the Gallery category on a page.
So, I’m going to stop here for now. If this is something you’d like to pursue, please let me know and we’ll go from here.
