photo arrangement
-
Hi —
I have done several posts featuring photos, but I have never run into a problem like this. I added one photo after another, in a vertical arrangement, one above the other. When I went to preview them, however, I had big white spaces between almost every photo. I went back into the “edit” function and tried to draw them tight by using the delete button and stopping when one photo was contiguous with the next. But when I went back to “preview post,” the result was the same — big gaps between the photos. I tried several times but could not eliminate the white spacing, so I posted it as it was — not the ideal but at least the photos were there. Anyone have any suggestions?
Jim

Edit the post. Switch to the Text (HTML) editor. Remove all these Non Breaking Space code tags below which will appear without the spaces I have to insert to make it display in the forums.

Hello, again, timethief…You need to start charging for this support…I don’t quite get it, however. In a draft version, I went to text edit and deleted all the  : tags, and when I went back to preview it, all but two photos had disappeared (out of about a dozen). Granted, those two were one right below the others, but I’m obviously missing something.

I figured it out, timethief!
When I went into the active file (in Text editor), I found about 15 of those non-breaking space code tags between each set of captions. I removed all but one tag between each photo, and updated. Voila…the photos appeared one below the other. (After my first attempt in the draft version, I realized later that I only had two photos and captions in the draft, instead of the dozen or so that were in the actual, working file. Sorry to confuse you.)
Thank you very much; you’re fantastic.
