  Hey there all…

  I am a student photographer and I was wondering if there’s any wordpress developers out there who could design a really slick modern photo blogging theme aimed at the photographer who would like to showcase their work ???

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello there,
  If you are referring to a wordpress.COM blog like the one linked to your username then please be aware that there is not FTP access to wordpress.COM blogs and we cannot upload any themes into them. The only themes we can use are located here > Appearance > Themes

  You can purchase the custom CSS upgrade and renew it annually. It will allow you to stylize the appearance of themes you find here > Appearance > Themes, but it does not allow you to change the functionality, by editing the underlying template. Also note that CSS is theme specific at wordpress.com, so you cannot use the CSS stylesheets from other themes with the themes here at wordpress.COM.

  If you are referring to hiring a web host and setting up a wordpress.ORG install then the best place to post would be there. If that’s the case then you can also visit http://codepoet.com/ for information on hiring a WordPress developer.

  but i was after someone at wordpress creating some new photoblogging themes special for wordpress.com

  Here’s an excerpt from sticky post at the head of the Themes forum.

  Post a suggestion for a new theme
  Please give us the theme name, a link to view the theme, and—most importantly—why you like it and would love to have it on WordPress.com.

  Please search the forum first for a suggestion on the same theme. If it exists, add your vote to the same topic and add a note about why you like the theme.

  Hello,

  We are always on the lookout for additional themes to help you display your photography on WordPress.com. For now, you might want to check out a few of our newer themes, like Modularity Lite or Wu Wei, or for one that’s been around for a little while that I’ve used in the past, you can try Duotone.

  There are many themes you could use, even 2010, and the best way to showcase your photos is to display 1 post at a time under Settings>Reading Settings>”Blog pages show at most X.posts”.
