Photo Captions

  I am using the Photography Theme but when I add captions in the Gallery Format, they don’t seem to appear. Any ideas?

  Your theme is a premium theme and we Volunteers answering questions on this forum have no knowledge of how they are designed to operate. When you purchased your premium theme what came with that purchase was support directly from the theme designer in the Premium Theme Support Forum. There is a link for the specific Premium Theme support forum under Appearance -> Themes in your blog’s Dashboard

  From what I tried on NON Premium themes: the contents of the “caption” field appear under the picture, but the contents of the “description” field only show up with the “Permalink” option.

  If that doesn’t answer your question, then please try the Premium Theme forum as timethief suggested.

  I hope you find the answers you are looking for regarding the captions…

  I have a question for you if you don’t mind. I too am trying to set up a site using the Photography theme for a gallery like you are. However, my gallery images are showing up in the post below the gallery. How do i keep them from displaying. Yours is nice and clean. http://www..scottferreiraphotography.wordpress.com

  An image gallery will display a set of thumbnail images attached to a particular post or page. When clicked, gallery images are displayed in a full-size carousel view.

  In every blog there is a running page for posts. That is the front page unless you create a static page for your front page and another “blog” page for the posts to display on. http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

  @tt, the Gallery/Portfolio page in the Photography theme takes advantage of the Gallery post format and does not behave the same as when the Gallery shortcode is used. There is no Carousel viewer overlay. The images are displayed in a special slider specific to this theme.

  @scottferreiraphotography as tt suggested in the other thread you opened, please post the question you have about using your Premium theme in the special forum you have access to. You must be logged in with the user account you purchased the theme with (just in case you have more than one).
