Photo captions disappear on editing old posts with new 2012 theme

  I am trying to re-do some of my old posts having changed to the new theme and it is proving a bit of a headache. Any thoughts on why the captions on this post disappear when I try and change the bottom photo to the top of the post? I have been comparing revisions but am none the wiser http://zebbakes.com/2012/04/22/bless-the-plants-that-grow-through-the-cracks/

  It is also very hard to delete the photos – I get this little arrow and it wants to resize the photos instead of just deleting them. Is this a new feature? Thanks for any advice. Sorry to be a nuisance.

  In fact I can’t do anything to this old post without the captions disappearing. Just tried to add the photo back as a featured image without touching any of the body of the post and the captions vanished. Help!
