  I am quite sure I’m following the directions for cropping a photo, but it won’t save.

  Hi there,
  I notice you have not posted to your blog since posting this thread here. There was an issue with image cropping in IE9 which has been resolved. Images should once again be editable in IE9 – you can crop, flip, rotate or otherwise make edits. http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/image-editing/
