photo file gone

I attempted to add an image from my library and almost all were gone. Explain please!

The same thing has happened to me. I can see the Media Library when I go to it from the Dashboard and I can see all the photos. But when I go to the Media Library during the edit process, by using the ‘add media’ button, all that comes up are a handful of the most recent additions. And when I try to ‘search’ with an exact name for an image I know is in there it comes up ‘not found’ My site is ron.haines.wordpress.com.

I checked today and the problem still persists. With this many people with the same problem it appears to be a WordPress issue, and not something going wrong with individual sites. Can someone from WordPress weigh in please, if even to just tell us you’re on it?

I am still encountering the same problem as well. I understand that support is limited at this time due to a WordPress staff conference of some sort. However, my understanding was that the forums would remain staffed. To echo Ron’s comment above, a response of some sort would be very much appreciated.

Hello all, Staff have advised that this bug is fixed. You may have to log out of WPcom and then log back in for it to work.
If you are still having issues with this please let us know and on what site.
