  How do I delete the photo from the theme and put in my own?

  If you are talking about the image at the top, go to Customize > Header Image to change that.

  You can find out more about setting up Karuna at: https://wordpress.com/theme/karuna. For image sizes for the various areas of the theme, scroll down to the bottom and look under Quick Specs.
