O.K., will do that. Thanks. But that aside, are there any themes / templates that *lend* themselves to photo galleries/albums, that were designed with photo galleries in mind?

Am using Silver Light at http://www.locophotogblog.com . You can use a smaller size photo, and link a larger one for visitors to open in another window.

@heneryhawk-that is indeed very nice, but not a blog hosted on WordPress.com.
@photohai-besides looking at the themes in terms of maximum image width, you can also preview themes in the WordPress.com theme viewer to see what your blog will look like with various themes applied.
I’m presently using the dark version of Inuit Types on my photoblog and like it very much. Previously I used The Journalist because it has one of the widest posting areas. But I’ve also seen people use many other themes successfully. Just preview until you find one you like.
Also, you can visit existing photography blogs on WordPress.com to see what others are doing by clicking on the Photography tag tab from the WordPress.com homepage http://en.wordpress.com/tag/photography/
