When my blog posts to Facebook, [caption id="attachment_3323" align="aligncenter" width="384"] appears at the top of the paragraph. I don’t want this photo info displayed. This just recently started. How do I get it off? I updated my FB share on WP twice already.

I’m sorry but we have no control over which images Facebook grabs and displays. I believe you will need to look for help in the Facebook help center but in case I’m wrong I’m flagging this thread for Staff attention.

Thanks for your response. I don’t have an issue with the photo that is chosen – although it would be nice to select yourself – but the text id for the photo shows up before the body of my blog. I placed what it looks like in parenthesis in the message above. Do you know why this has started showing up and how I can get rid of it? I am finding that it is confusing people and they pass the blog up instead of reading it.

No I don’t and that’s why I flegged this thread for a Staff response.

  • Unfortunately, we have absolutely no control over what Facebook chooses to include in their content.

It looks like they’re just digging through your post’s source and therefor including the shortcode for the caption.
