Photo Idea for WordPress

Make a photo slideshow available as a selection for posts. I have stories where I’d like to show more than one photo, but it won’t be right to post more than one, because there isn’t enough story.

Is it possible you are referring to a “slider”? If so, WordPress.com has several themes that have this. See here: http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/post-slider/

Or are you referring to a slideshow inside a post? In that case you can upload all the images from your computer and click Insert Slideshow. Result as shown here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/slideshows/Or you can use the fancier gallery carousel slideshow, with just one image in the post. Upload all the images from your computer and click Insert Gallery. Then go to Media > Library, hover over the image you want to display, note its ID number in the status/progress bar of your browser. Back to the post editor, switch to HTML, change the gallery shortcode to this:
[gallery include="ID NUMBER HERE"]
