Photo looks small and "framed" instead of matching text width

  I used the “upload media” function instead of the “insert photo”, which seem to be on different “new post” pages. Now the photos look small and “framed” instead of matching text width (which would be much bigger, showing photo detail). The “insert photo” function does not seem to be on the “edit post” page. What can I do? Thanks!
