Photo not Showing in Post

I am just setting my first ever blog. I have written a test post and attached a photo. When I publish the test of he post shows but not the photo. Interestingly on the RHS it lists the posts and if I click on the post then the photo appears.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The results you’ve described suggest that you’ve attached an image to the post, but haven’t inserted the image into the post. See the Adding Images to Posts or Pages support page. -
Thanks musicdoc1. I have followed these instructions with the same result. Image is still not visible unless I click on the pot on the rhs

Did you try the method under the “Insert an Image from your Media Library” section of the Adding Images to Posts or Pages support page? Let us know if that works. If it doesn’t work, you may wish to add a “modlook” tag to the sidebar of this topic to call for staff attention. Staff has access to your site, and will be able to quickly determine the cause of the failure of images to display. -

What is the file type of the image please? Is it one of these:
Images
.jpg
.jpeg
.png
.gif -
it is a jpeg.
When I preview it, it shows perfectly in the site. But when I open the site it is not visible

Hi. Thanks for the response. The image is held on my computer. If you look at my site on the right hand side you will see a list of recent posts click one of the top ones and the image will appear

Your computer is not a server and all images have to be hosted somewhere online on a server to be displayed. Therefore you have to upload the images into your Media Library. Are you clear on that?

It seems you may be using an iPad or Iphone.

I am doing most of this on my desktop. I then tried it on my ipad to see if that was the same. It was.
Yes, I have uploaded the images to my image library. I don’t know how to get the url of the image in the image library.

I can see every image I linked to above. I’m running Windows 7 on a PC and using FF 39.
Please let us know:
(a) Exactly what kind of device you are using to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com.
(b) Exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://www.whatbrowser.org/
(c) Exactly what any error reports you receive state. -

I wonder if the following might explain the reported issue. The test images are appearing on the single posts, as noted by timethief, but they are not appearing archives pages. For example, they don’t appear in the annual archive page which I’d previously used to find your recent posts, http://timandalidaontour.com/2015/, or in the monthly archive page http://timandalidaontour.com/2015/07/, or in the “Current Travel” category archive page. They may not appear on the posts or blog page, if you have it displayed. I didn’t find the blog page.
