photo opening in full screen

  On my main page and other pages i can get the photo to open in full screen when clicked on , but tonite when i tried to post a new photo it seemed to refuse to let me do that , i used to get a small logo in the top left hand of the photo before i published , but just an pencil/edit and x button now appear on the photo , any help ??

  Getting a bit peed of with this , i have now put a photo on the main page entitled ” testing this ” if you click on the centre of the photo it just comes up as a normal pst with the photo , but if you go back to the main page and click on ANY of the photos on the main page they will come up full screen , just click on the photos , my simple question is , what has WordPress changed , and how can i get my future photos to do what my previous ones are doing ?? simple answer please !

  OK got it !! after hitting the pencil image on the uploaded photo, you then select “media” from the link to drop down menu , this will then bring the image to full screen when clicked on , something that should have been explained in simple English to all and sundry !!
