Photo quality loss on mobile site

It seems that I lose a lot of quality when I view my photos on my phone, opposed to on my desktop computer. On my computer images are bright, colourful and sharp – on my phone they are not. Am I doing something wrong? Can I fix this problem?

Twenty Fourteen is a responsive layout theme.

    See here http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/responsive-layout/

Know that responsive width means the layout adapts depending on the size of the device being used to view your site. When responsive width themes are viewed on mobiles sidebars appear below the posts in order to provide as much space as possible for reading.

The mobile theme is a completely different theme. When you use a responsive layout theme we disable the mobile theme

Alright thank you, it seems to have helped a bit – but the photos are still a little lackluster in comparison… Skin tones are slightly grey etc. Is that as good as it’ll get?

Many people are simply uploading HUGE images straight from their cameras into their blogs. They get poor image quality as a reward for being lazy when it comes to proper image preparation. I’m not sure if you are doing that or not. However, I can say with full confidence that if you pre-size each and every image to fit into the space you wish to display it in then you get the best image quality, you do not waste your free image storage space, and you do not wind up troubleshooting images.
