Photo scaling problem

I use Chrome most of the time, but scale my photos manually in Firefox because WordPress does not allow manual scaling on other servers (and scaling them by percentage does not display them very clearly). My photos are suddenly appearing much larger on my site – on any server – than I have been scaling them. Now every vertical photo is scaled to the size preset (the horizontals are too, but the size is much more appropriate to the page layout). This undoes years of work on my site, and would take a lot of time to redo. How to correct this? Thanks.

I took a look and everything is working properly. Where you exactly see this issue? Could you please send a link of the page or post?

    Looking forward to your reply.

i replied to this a week ago and have not heard back yet.

skim through this site anywhere beyond the first couple pages: http://airfieldfilms.com/page/5/

all vertical photos are way too big.

If possible, send me a screenshot, so I can better understand the issue. You can simply upload the screenshot to your Media Library, like any other image, and I’ll be able to access it from there.

The page at the following link has some helpful tips for taking screenshots:
