Photo size

First of all, I don’t like the new format. I don’t know why it was changed suddently. It looked so much better before and the format made complete sense.
I just posted my first blog since the new format and for some reason all my pictures are tiny. I want my pictures full size. I’ve always posted full size pics. And for some crazy reason, this time they are small. I know I didn’t change anything. And I’m trying to find a “settings” button where I can enlarge the pics but I don’t see it.
Please help. I don’t want tiny pics in my post.

Your blog looks good to me.
Certainly your pics are not displayed as thumbnails.
On my own blog, picture sizes appear normal today.
I always specify the size I want them to be.
Is it possible you didn’t, but relied on some default which could have changed recently? -
You’re right they are not thumbnails, but they are also not the larger size photos that I usually display on my blog.

That’s why now I was surprised that the size decreased, along with the new version of wordpress. I was sure it had to do with some new default setting, but I don’t know where to change it.

Hmm, well, I just dragged a couple of pics onto a test blog I use,
demothis.wordpress.com/blog,
leaving all defaults in place, and they look normal.
However I had probably set those image files to width 800 in order to reduce the size of the files. -
Here’s what I can’t figure out: I haven’t changed the size of my photos before uploading. And I haven’t changed any settings afterwards.
In fact, I can’t even find where to make them bigger after I upload them. If I click on the picture itself to change the alternate text, caption, etc, it shows me that it’s at 100% and the higher percentages are all grayed out. I won’t allow me to enlarge them.
I have done nothing differently since the previous post but my pictures are smaller. The only thing that is different since my previous post is the look and feel of WordPress. There has to be something in this new version that is making my pictures smaller at the time they are uploaded.
How do I fix this? I want large pictures. I want them as wide as the text. Even the ones you posted on the test blog are bigger than the ones that are showing on my blog now. I don’t understand.

The question I’m asking … is there a default fix for this somewhere? In settings? How can I tell it to always display my photos as large??

When you edit a post and upload an image from your computer or select an image from your media library, the right side of the screen includes alignment, link and size options. The size options are thumbnail, medium, large and full size. In your last post you have selected the medium option. To correct the post, delete the images and re-insert them, selecting the full size option.
