Photo sizing

I want to use a picture for my background, but it either tiles or the picture shows up in a corner, with the rest of the background blank! How can I make it cover the entire background without repeat tiling?

You must use an image that is large enough to cover the area you want to display to begin with.
The http://exercisedammit.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/greenset.jpg image you uploaded is only 259 × 194 pixels.

This is true. It was a smaller picture. I guess what I want to know is how big it will have to be?

Well, that would depend on your screen size. That’s the issue with using single background images. It may be perfect for your screen, but it will too small or too large for others.
If you just want it to be good for your screen, make sure that the uploaded image is as large as your screen.

Thanks guys, I ended up going with a tiled photo, and a fixed position. by using a large photo, it made it so it only shows up twice, instead of a whole wall of the same pic, over and over.
