Photo That WordPress Displays In Hot Topics

I was wondering if there is a way to choose which picture wordpress displays for the hot topic displays. I posted a blog yesterday about a strawberry dessert using 12 photos. When I went to the Food tag and they chose a photo that did not have any strawberries in it. When I go to the hot topics I generally click on posts that have a colorful photo that catches my eye. I am sure the photo they randomly chose for my post did not get anyone’s attention :)
I could not find the answer to this by searching support or forums but if it has already been answered; feel free just to give me the link :)

I’m sorry but although I don’t have time to do forums searches for you I clearly recall this question being asked before. It was also asked by a food blogger who disliked the photo choice Staff had featured. The answer was to the effect of members do not get to pick and choose.
