Photo too big, need to optimize, which application to use for macBook Pro?
-
I have tried to download the following in order to optimize a photo: – Irfanview
– Picasa
– GIMP
– Photofiltre
– FastStone
– PixiaAnd everyone requests for me to choose an application. I have a MacBook Pro and I am not sure which application to choose. Any mac users out there have a suggestion?
Thanks. -
Hi, there. I’m not a Mac person but there are free online photo editors that don’t care what OS you’re using. One that worked well for me is:
HTH and happy blogging.

You probably have iPhoto. That’ll work. I don’t know about older versions, but here’s the approximate procedure with the 08 version:
1. Select your photo
2. File/Export
3. Kind = JPEG
4. Quality = medium
5. Size = small (or custom, and set your own dimensions)
6. Export -
Okay thanks. Tellyworth, I used your method and that worked, but I can see the html code that I placed wrapped around the photos. Go to bluebirdgrainfarms.wordpress.com/
and you will see what I am talking about. I remedied this when it happened before, but it took a very long time to do this–my method wasn’t an efficient way to handle the text around the photo. Do you or anyone else have a suggestion?
