  My photos won’t upload. I keep getting a message that there was an error when uploading.

  Hello there!

  I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. can you tell me what kind of error the system returns to you? That would help me figure out the root of the issue :)

  Sometimes such errors can occur when the media file is too large or the filename has a special character in it. You might also get an error when the connection to the WordPress.com server is interrupted and /or if your internet connection is slow.

  If you reckon that the filename of your image and your internet connection are OK, then the most probable cause is the file being too large. You can optimise the image as explained here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/media/image-optimization/.
