Photographic Scrolling

  Hello!

  I’m currently trying to work on my wordpress site and could really use some community advice from you CSS gurus! Whenever I list my photographs in order in the editing document, and then I go to the site, it scrolls up and down.
  My wordpress is nickdweissphoto.wordpress.com. The other two sites that I’ve seen what I want are tomhoying.com & shannonbenine.com. They both go through wordpress but they have custom CSS that allows them to scroll left and right through their images. I was wondering if someone could help me achieve the same.

  The two sites you reference are self-hosted WordPress sites using the software from WordPress.org and hosted on third-party web hosts. There currently isn’t a horizontal scroll photography/portfolio theme here at WordPress.com, and right off the top of my head, I can’t think of how to do this with CSS alone. It may be possible, but it would take a good bit of research to find a theme that would be structured in such a way that this could be made to work.

  I’ve posted a request to our theme division so we can discuss the possibility of creating a horizontal scrolling portfolio/photography theme.

  I’ve been looking for exactly the same thing. Id love to be able to scroll horizontally too.

  Well, let’s see if one of our theme designers will take on that task of creating a horizontal scrolling photography theme. I kind of like them too. :)
