Photography website slider possible?

    Hi

    I believe that wordpress might allow me to create a website for my photography work. I am looking to create something very simple; white background, links to sections and an image slider which takes up most of the space on the page. I want the work to be the main point of focus. I have previously seen wordpress associated sites along these lines.

    Can you advise me on how I go about setting this up and what is involved?

    I’d specifically suggest you look at Sketch. It has both the minimalist design and large image sizes you want, and is optimised for showcasing your work using the portfolio content type: https://wordpress.com/themes/sketch/

    In most cases, to have a post or portfolio project appear in a slider, it needs to have both a featured image of sufficient size and a specific tag assigned, but this varies from theme to theme, so once you pick a specific theme, read that theme’s documentation for detailed instructions or start a new post in the themes forum asking for help on that specific theme.
