When I post a photo as the main image, it often appears compressed when I go to ‘view’. For example, in my new blog (July 27 at TimothyTaylorChessArtist) the picture is only about half size. How do I make sure the full picture shows up? Even more confusing, when I see the list of posts, the picture shows up the right size, but when I go to ‘visit’ it only shows up half size.
Second question on the same subject, how can I insert a photo into the text of a blog, that is, have a main picture above then one or more other pictures interspersed through the text?
I am a relatively new user and don’t have a lot of computer experience, so any help will be much appreciated!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello,

The picture that you see on the top of the article is called a featured image. The size and position of this is decided by the theme. It contributes to the look of your blog. You can read more about Featured Images here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/

What you need to do for the image to show in full size is to insert an image into your post, which is exactly what you have asked in the second question. Read more here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/add-media/

You need to keep the cursor where you want the image to be, click add image from the editor and either choose an image that you have uploaded or upload a new one. Click Insert Image and you should be good to go.

That sounds very helpful. I will try this out in the next few days. Thank you!
