on some of my photos, you click them, and they just open larger in a separate window, but my most recently uplaoded landscape photos (the first photo in the wyoming section) open larger right on the blog so you can see the title of the photo and you can still see my header at the top. How do I get all of my images to do this?

Unfortunately it’s easy to turn an image that links to an attachment page into an image that links to the large-size original, but the opposite can’t be done directly: you need to remove the image and re-insert it. -
damn, i just started doing that but was hoping there was some other way. Did they upgrade something to make recently published images start doing this? only ones I uploaded today have done this and i didn’t change any settings.

I’m sorry but we Volunteers can’t answer that question. There is no change log kept that we users can access here at WordPress.com. This site is on early release ie. continuous roll-out of new features and code and that means code changes are made every day.
