Hi, I don’t know how to explain this so I’ll give a link to the post. http://fruitoftheword.com/2009/03/19/a-servants-heart/
There’s a huge blank spot where the photo should be. If you click on the blank spot, it takes you to the photo which I loaded on m “media.” It’s there and not deleted. In fact, I checked my “media” and the photo is there.
This is not the first time this has happened. I’m wondering why this happens. What I end up doing is deleting it and reloading it. But I don’t understand why this happens and why I have to reload a photo.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Try uploading the image to the blog where it is going to appear. At the moment you’re trying to link the file from a different WordPress.com blog (tishrei.wordpress.com).

tishrei.wordpress is my blog. I have a domain name (fruitoftheword) that tishrei.worpress maps to.

I’m afraid I’m not as educated as some where custom domains come in.Hopefully someone else will be able to help. Sorry.

Thanks Jennifer. I’ll wait and hopefully someone knows the answer. If not, I’ll contact support.

This is the URL of the image
http://tishrei.files.wordpress.com/2010/04/flower_thumb.jpg?w=240&h=200That goes to a 404. When you see the image in your media files, what is the URL there? I think perhaps there’s a disconnect somewhere.

Hi Raincoaster,
That’s weird that you’re getting a 404 error. When I click on the blank space where the photo should be, it takes me to the photo. The URL in my media is:
And that’s the URL where it takes me when I click on the photo.
I’m really puzzled why this happens. It’s happened several times and I just end up reloading the photo but I don’t want to keep doing that. I happen to stumble on these or I find out if someone emails me.
I did submit a ticket to support but I’ll cancel it if someone knows why it’s happening.

It happens because the href (link) part of the image code has this URL:
http://tishrei.files.wordpress.com/2010/04/flower.jpg
while the src (displayed) part of the code has this URL:
http://tishrei.files.wordpress.com/2010/04/flower_thumb.jpg
Second URL doesn’t exist.Switch your editor to html and delete “_thumb”.
