photos and a draft missing

I can’t upload pictures onto my blog previous photos are not showing up on existing posts and I just spent hours typing and saved the draft and it’s gone. Very Very frustrated.

Regarding the previous images not showing, can you send me a link to a post with this issue? On this post, http://bakevintage.com/2013/10/31/its-halloween-im-a-diabetic-wah-wah/ , I’m showing that the two missing images were deleted from your Media Library about 20 minutes before submitting this message.
When attempting to upload a picture, what happens? Does an error message appear or does it “get stuck” at a particular place, etc?
I’m afraid I don’t see a copy of the draft. Is it possible there was an Internet connection issue while trying to save the post? It appears it was never saved onto WordPress.com’s server, but the draft is typically saved within the browser for the next time you attempt to write a new post.
My apologies for the frustrations and hopefully we can narrow down what happened. Thanks!

Hi, thanks for responding.
After I refreshed the page everything worked. I had tried to upload 3 photos and each one gave me an error, but no detail with the error. Then I tried to save the draft so I could log out and log back in and that is when I got a screen that said, are you sure you want to do this, I clicked on try again, which was the only option and everything was gone. Then the pictures uploaded with no problem but I had to type all of my work again. So, not sure what happened. Here is the link http://bakevintage.com/2013/11/04/testing-testing/ and like I said, it was totally fine after everything was already gone. I think there was just a glitch or something. I was short in my original email, I was really tired and frustrated.
If you are able to see if I did anything wrong, please let me know so I don’t do it again. I’m completely inept when it comes to anything technical so I can basically type and click buttons that tell me what to do and that’s about it. Thanks :) -

Trust me, I see plenty of “short” notes from folks—you’re fine :-)
I think you’re right—a one-time glitch. From what you describe, it sounds that there was some type of connectivity issue—somewhere in the Internet, anywhere from your Internet connection to our “edge” servers, something wasn’t connecting to something else right.
Just in case there’s something up with your Internet connection, it may not be a bad idea to select all and “copy” before saving or navigating away from the editor for a short bit. In event, there’s something more regular occurring with your connection that we can dive into to fix, you won’t lose the text if this happens again. You can select all and copy by holding the Command button and hitting A, then C (while still holding Command).
