Photos and Media
-
When I used the site pages to upload (more like copy and paste) my articles to upload, I had to upload my photos for the articles separately and then re-add them to my articles. Now I have no room in my media files for my photos for my photography. Can I delete the photos from my articles and they not disappear from the articles? Just from my media file? Or are they not actually in my articles and just linked from my media file to my articles?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
Or are they not actually in my articles and just linked from my media file to my articles?
This is correct. You may upload an image to the media library and then insert it into an article, or upload it directly to an article. In either case it resides in the media library.
Can I delete the photos from my articles and they not disappear from the articles?
What do you mean?

I’m not sure that I understand what you mean, but if you have duplicates of images in the media library, then you may delete all except one. However, if there are duplicates of a single image in various articles, and you want to eliminate the duplicates from the media library, then you’ll have to make sure that all instances of the image in articles correspond to the same media file.

So, I wrote all my articles in Word and I just copy and paste them into a page here. The photos don’t copy over. I had to upload them into the media library and then add them back into the article before posting.
I just want to also have photography here as well. But I can’t because all the photos from my articles are taking up all the space.

Media needs to stay in the Media Library if you want the images to still be on your site and display in individual posts/pages. There should be room for thousands of images with your 3GB storage as long as they are optimized for the web before being uploaded.
Your other option is to upgrade to a Personal plan which would double the size of your available storage space.
