Photos and videos – no image appears in the reader

    Apologies for a repeat of the same old question but it’s a frustrating problem and nobody yet seems to have a solution. My images have started to appear as blanks when I post something and it appears in the reader – I’ve reloaded, resized and changed images and nothing makes a difference, they are fine on the posts itself.

    That’s the first question – the second is really where to go for help if nobody on the public forums can help – I did get a link for the contact us part of wordpress but since I am on a free package it seems (and I may be wrong) as though the forums are the only source of support.

    It makes the posts look pretty unappealing when you scroll in through the reader and wouldn’t spur me into reading further when presented with a blank image.

  • Hi Hannah,

    I had a look at your website, and I can see all the images and the videos displayed correctly from the Reader page.

    Have you tried to access the Reader from another computer/browser? Just to evaluate if it’s an issue related with your device or browser, as it all looks good to me.

    As for your threads with no reply: this forum is very huge and unfortunately it’s really hard to reply to every single entry. We volunteers try our best to support the Staff which I saw that normally reply within a couple of days (I had myself some issues and waited no more than 2 days for a reply). Sometimes something can be missed but everybody try their best in here to help users in needs :)

    Let me know what you see from the other browser and computer so we can check what could it be that makes the images so weird on the Reader :)

    That’s brilliant – thanks so much Stefania – perhaps it’s just this browser – they also look blank on my iphone but both are using safari to access so it’s possibly that.

    I completely understand that it’s impossible to reply to everything and thanks for taking the time. I’m a relative newcomer to blogging and wordpress and wasn’t sure if this was the right way to ask for technical help ore not. I will have a play around with other devices and browsers and let you know the outcome.

    On a side note, since you mentioned your iPhone – I forgot to ask you to double check your website on the Reader also through the WordPress app. It’s just a detail but once I had an issue similar to yours (which it’s fixed by itself!) and I had a look at my WordPress app, and everything looked awful also in there. Fingers crossed it’s not your case but maybe it’s worth checking ;)
