Photos Appearing As White Boxes

I am copying photos into articles – something I could do fine a week ago – and finding they are showing as white boxes/text boxes. It looks fine when I preview and share but not showing when I am editing.
Also, when sharing a review/article to Facebook, instead of showing a main image and title, it shows a box without an image attached.
Any advice would be great!

We do not copy photos. We upload them.

I have used that method but been copying photos into my work for nearly six years with no issues – it has just happened the last few days.

Okay then where are the servers for these images you are copying? They have to be hosted somewhere online of copying them will not work.

I am copying photos from Facebook pages – I review musicians – and copying and pasting them into posts.
They used to appear fine in posts and displayed – I have done nearly 1,000 posts – and had no problem before.
This is literally an issue the last few days: I have been copying perfectly for nearly six years so it is not to do with how I am incorporating images.

@musicmusingsandsuch which articles are giving you trouble? I can see some images embedded from Facebook in the ones I checked, but I’m not seeing white boxes.

Also, for what it’s worth, I would recommend uploading the pictures here instead of relying on Facebook to allow you to hotlink images.

They show up when I preview and publish an article but not when I am editing/first copy them into an article – they did up until a couple of days ago. I have been doing it that way for years with no issues: only just occurred.

@musicmusingsandsuch I don’t see any articles with white boxes. Please send a link to an article that has a white box on it, or get a full screenshot and add it to your media library:

@musicmusingsandsuch if you upload the images to your post instead of hotlinking them do you have better results?
