Photos Are Being Chopped Off

  • Unknown's avatar

Sometime ago, WordPress.com instituted a change with the theme “Pilcrow” which replaced an earlier bookshelf theme.

Since then, all of the photo/images I uploaded months (and years ago) have benn horribly chopped up where the full image does not show anymore.

How can this issue be resolved? I have put a lot of effort into including images in my posts, as I feel that they add great relevance to my posts.

If this issue has beeen resolved for other bloggers, would someone please e-mail how this issue can be resolved without my sacrificing the content of my blog (i.e., sidebar, posts, and photo/images).

Anyone’s help would be greatly appreciated.

    My e-mail is the following:

My blog URL is the following:

    Thanks so much.

The images that seem to be a problem are hotlinked from other sites, and wordpress does not automatically resize those image that are inserted from a URL. You have to resize those to fit the width of the particular theme you are using. For the image widths in Pilcrow (varies depending on layout configuration), see this post by Panos: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/07/23/maximum-image-width/ . The image width in Pilcrow is the same as it was in the theme it replaced.
