Photos are corrupted when I try to add as Featured Image

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi, I have been trying changing permissions in the Wp-content of the FTP of my website (I don’t understand much), and even made something that suddenly I was not seeing my pictures on my Media Galleries, but now at least I see them. The problem is that before uploading the picture, on the media gallery it looks ok, but on the Featured Image it appears corrupt so it does not upload.

The image if I upload on the body of the text, sometimes it uploads, and sometimes is corrupted. I’ve added double capacity to my website, thinking that the disk was full, but the problem is still there. Anyone else know what I could be doing wrong or what to do? Thanks in advance!

  • Hi there,

The WordPress.org community will be better able to help you with this – they make the open source WordPress software you’re using for your site:

    https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

Right now you’re posting in the support forums for the hosting provider, WordPress.com. Your site is linked here via the Jetpack plugin, but it’s not hosted with us, and WordPress.com doesn’t work exactly the same as the open source version of WordPress you’re using, so we don’t really have the expertise here to help you with this.

If the issue is with how featured images load on the site, you can also try contacting support for the theme you’re using, as typically that’s controlled by the theme.

Hi Kokkieh, thanks for letting me know, I am a bit clueless, I think we’ve found the culprit, some malware that came through a theme… but trying to get solved. Will contact the org forum. :) Martina
