@thenaturalkitchen, I’ve resized, cropped and optimized the image for you and uploaded it to the media library on my blog. Click on the following link and then save it to your desktop and then upload it with the custom header uploader on your blog.

@thenaturalkitchen
Let’s start here.
What is your operating system?
Which browser and version of it are you using? -

Thanks devblog. Obviously I wasn’t around when the link was pasted, so thanks too thesacredpath.
@thenaturalkitchen: Now you’ve seen how you could get the edited image from one of us. As to how thesacredpath did the editing, he probably used Photoshop; since you don’t have Photoshop, there’s no point in giving you details on that – timethief will probably guide you to free applications you can download or webpages you can use to edit your images.

No problem, Panos. I’ll be deleting the image from my blog shortly.
TSP, thank you too.thenaturalkitchen,
You can use The Gimp. It’s a free open source image editing program.

many thanks everyone – hopefully this will do it and i won’t ever need to try another photo in its place. but if i do i will use these resources you’ve shared and hopefully teach my self the rest!
happy blogging to all :)

@everyone, you are welcome.
@thenaturalkitchen, I used Photoshop. With Photoshop, I can set the dimensions for a crop to 770 x 200 and then just draw the crop box on the image, adjust it and move it around until I’m happy, then I hit return/enter and it crops the image to the exact size. I then “save it for the web.”
Download and install Gimp. It is a tremendous program and for a free download I can’t believe the wealth of features. Take some time to get to know it and you will not be sorry.
