Photos changing when uploaded

Hi folks,
Just a short question about uploading photos.
It is something that started happening during this last year. Perfectly metered and/or corrected photos that look fine on my system suddenly turn a lot darker when uploaded to my blog or in one case change color. The first time it happened with some dark clouds that looked as clouds should, dark grey. The moment they arrived in WP, they turned dark blue and nothing I tried helped to get them in their original color. This time it is a picture with a statue where the statue lost all detail, turning a lot darker… It still looks fine in its pre-upload version.
I work in sRGB, in Photoshop, Lightroom and also in Picasa where I view my photos and never had this problem before this year…
Is there some Google-style ‘enhance’ added to WP maybe (something I turned off in Google! Ough!) ? Or is there something else going wrong. It happens only now and then but is kind of irritating, really…

Sorry, no… it doesn’t… I’m not doing anything different from what I’ve been doing for 5 years and something… and that is mostly along the lines described in the article you pointed me to.
I know that there is a slight loss of quality by resizing (on my own system before uploading) and also by the upload itself but this is different and popped up only this last year (twice).
In the meantime I have removed the post as it was really beneath the quality level I try to achieve while the original (also the resized version) looks fine to me.
Thanks for your reaction, anyway… :-) I’ll just wait and see if it keeps on recurring as nothing seems to have changed on the WP side…
