Photos coming up blank?

  The irony of it.. I went with Twitblogs a while back and my blog got hosed. Now same appears to be happening here. Lost a lot of site traffic because of this…

  Hehe, I’ve been dwelling on starting a blog for ages, now the day after I take the plunge with a photo based blog this happens – nice, tempted to just say ” cya round” but it is interesting

  Hi guys, I can see images at all of the URLs you’ve mentioned, such as:
  http://thefoxfanzine.wordpress.com/
  http://boofsbookshelf.com/
  http://www.astonvilla-views.com/

  Trying to look into these reports though. Are you still having trouble seeing images at those URLs if you refresh?

  Have some specific examples I can look at?

  Wait, these image problems… are they happening on the blog front end, or only when you look at them in the dashboard like in the edit page and the preview page? Because I can’t see the problem happening so far. Hrm.

  but on go onto wordpress.com on IE and only half the images load there

  don’t think so, images not really appearing on IE now, also I am getting random catergories being created based on names of pictures I have uploaded.

  It’s not a browser issue. It’s a WordPress issue. The guys have implemented something new with Snap. If you clear cookies you now get this overlaid gadget Snapshots preview.
  This never used to happen and it’s all co-inciding with the change. I bet someone’s heads on the block for this!

  @jgfmk We’re phasing out Snap. Snap is currently shown to logged out users. mShots (the replacement) is shown to logged in users. We’re working towards using mShots for all users though.

  hmm my i.e is 6.0 so i guess thats no use cos it doesnt load the image there either, although i do get the “red cross icon” where the image should be.

  neither browser completes its loading, status bars hang at 90%

  Actually the preview appearing was probably a result of clearing the cookies.
  I probably disabled it an eternity ago and forgot about it.
  Still peeved about not getting the images displayed correctly though.
  Has someone messed with the URL mappings at WordPress? Could that be the issue?
