Was it always setup this way?
Or as timetheif mentioned earlier someone has deleted or shifted a load of files off a server. Perhaps transferring them somewhere else, but forgot to map the server to do a redirect correctly…. -

In my case, no images from my blog are loading when I look via iPhone safari, and only some are loading (painfully slowly) via safari on main computer. Been like this for a day or so. Same problem happened about a month ago and then mysteriously cleared up after a couple of days.

I have just downloaded FF 3.6 but it hasn’t made any difference. I have a home laptop and also a work computer at home and neither of them are showing the photos (only show the sidebar widget images).

@boofsbooks Clearing cache is a really good first step for any browser related troubles (like in this case where some of you are reporting you can’t see images). Perhaps something else is going on though.
@jgfmk Hmm. Both of these links work for me no problem! Also, yes, that is the proper structure for image URLs at WordPress.com–the servers are mapped correctly.

Doesn’t seem to really be browser-related. Just to make sure, are images on other websites loading for you without any troubles? And, generally speaking, whereabouts are you guys located? I’m in NY, and my ISP is Time Warner.

Photos on other websites (e.g. Amazon) are loading fine but I still can’t see any WP blog images.
I am based in the UK.

Here’s the thing. If I edit an image in the edit media pane, I am able to see an image with an attachment_id of 344 in the url So is there some sort of number to name mapping going on under the covers and this has changed today?

yes, other non wordpress blogs work fine, but go onto blogger links to wordpress images, not loading

Don’t be fooled by others with this cache clearing nonsense for this issue. I’ve got two laptops. A Mac using Safari and a Dell with XP SP3 & Firefox. They wouldn’t both suddenly go wrong at the same time. The issue is on the WordPress end. Something they’ve done. Hope they are using some change control mechanism like Git to look at the changes in the past 24 hours to track this down if it isn’t obvious…
