Photos deleted

  Hi,

  The other day I uploaded a blog post – it went up fine and all my other posts were fine. 10 minutes later I checked the post on my mobile and the photos weren’t loading but I could see that there were photos inserted and it would say the file name rather than show the photo. I went onto my page and saw that in my media section, all of my photos had disappeared. Does anyone know what happened here? I had thousands of photos and cannot spend my entire life putting them back!!

  Are the missing images ones that you linked to that are hosted on another site, and therefore are not on wordpress.COM servers, so they do not appear in your Media Library?

  Hi. Embarrassingly enough, I now remember deleting my photos to clear space without realising they would delete from published blog posts. Now I am reuploading all of my photos again but they are not reappearing on my blog???

  Uploading images into your Media Library does not embed them into posts or pages.

  Have you exhausted your free media storage space?

  Check here http://bethcrobertson.wordpress.com/wp-admin/upload.php

  If the answer is yes go to Adding Storage Space
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/space-upgrade/

  If the answer is no, then have you tried dragging an image straight from your desktop or computer’s image folder and drop it directly into your post’s editor?

  If you prefer you can click on the Add Media button from the toolbar of your editor to upload an image to your post.
