Photos disappearing

Hi all, I love my blog and its been wonderful for a week or so. Loaded with images, very little text. Today half my images are missing, have checked the html, they are still linked, all still in image library. Different images are showing as missing in the edit mode than are missing on screen view for public. Have checked in Safari and Firefox, cleared cache so its not a browser issue. Have checked the images are in the library ok also tried to reload them – no go. I am hoping it will all suddenly reappear? Thanks to all the volunteers who help out.

Sorry about, we had a bug which has since been fixed so these images should now all be sorted.

I have this same type of blog / same problem last night and thought it was ok but I’m still missing photos. it was addressed in a different thread here.
my slideshow wasn’t working at all; now the first photo shows and then it goes black. I’m getting a couple of photos back on other pages but still missing a lot.
should I just wait or do I need to contact support?

This is great. I had the same problem yesterday and was wondering if I just had too many loaded and maybe was supposed to upgrade. Just discovered the forums and here the answer is already up. Will have to keep an eye on these threads. Thanks so much, I can’t believe how much we have here–all for free.

I just noticed that some of my old posts are missing, but new photo uploads are showing.
should we just wait or do I need to re-upload everything?

Well, I hate to burst everyone’s bubble, but as of this writing — 2:47 AM Eastern Time — the problem is definitely NOT fixed. There are images on our blog that are not displaying, along the lines described above, despite our having made no changes to them.
We appreciate WordPress, too, but would point out that for our purposes, it’s not free. We pay for quite a few extras, including Custom CSS, the Space Upgrade, Videopress, and now the latest add-on fee, the surcharge to ensure that advertising won’t besmirch our blog. As a result, we don’t feel the lest bit bashful about speaking up and letting it be known that the disappearing image problem still exists…and still needs to be repaired.

@savap: I’m seeing 10 images on that page. And I can see several images on each one of your pages, with only one questionmark here:

Hi WP, yes when I wrote they had all come back, now eg. the page you reference at least 4 are missing, you might see after a refresh, they came and went again really fast. Likewise probs on other pages, all there one minute and then gone again within about 6 mins of my post, thanks.

I see. I copy-pasted the code of your page into my test blog and got the same erratic behavior.
Since you have inserted the images in real size, there’s no point having the inserted version link to the uploaded original. I suggest you unlink them, then delete all height and width indications. For example turn this:

Thank you, panaghiotisadam, for checking our pages. At this point, all of the pictures on our blog appear to have rematerialized and are displaying correctly, so perhaps the problem is indeed now resolved. We’ll keep our fingers crossed.

Hi guys. You shouldn’t have to re-upload, re-configure, change dimensions, or modify your images to get them to come back. The reason you may see them go in and out for a bit is because of image caching.
If you’d like to send support a note with links to the affected pages, we can check them out individually for you.
