photos dissapeared after deleting captions

  hi all

  i just spent a very very long time uploading some photos onto my blog(im currently in iran and the internet is so slow) i originally had captions under the photos, then deleted them just using the edit post page. now the photos have dissapeared. i drag my curser over the area where they should be and it pops up with the title of the photo but no photo. its like they are there, but i cant see them. how can i get them back. please help
