Photos dropping off on older blog posts

  I scrolled through some older posts (up to Dec 2016) and noticed that the photos were no longer appearing – just empty boxes and image nos. Could you advise how to restore them pls. Thanks.

  Were the images linked-to from elsewhere or were they in your Media Library? Removing images from the Media Library also removes them from the posts they were associated with. WordPress.com has no way to retrieve deleted images. If that is what happened you’ll need to re-insert the images one at a time into the posts if you have copies.

  Yes, I deleted them from the Media Library so will need to re-insert them. Thanks for your advice.
