photos go to gallery, not post

Hi – I’ve loaded a photo from my computer for each blog I’ve posted, but following exactly the same procedure yesterday & today the photo only loads to the gallery, and doesn’t appear on the post itself. (Even though the media library says it is attached to the post.) In addition, when I click on the icon to load an image to the post, the loading options will only allow me to use ‘from computer’, and not the others, so I don’t even seem to be able to go round the problem by loading it direct from the gallery.
Sorry, but can’t see where I’m going wrong. Any ideas?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Did you hit “Insert into post” at the bottom of the pop-up box when you uploaded it? If not, go to the Media Library (not the tab marked Gallery but the Media Library) and click Show beside each image, and scroll down to the bottom of the box. Click Insert there.

Hi Raincoaster.Many thanks. Firstly, yes I hit ‘insert into post’ at the bottom of the pop-up, but that’s when it went to the ‘gallery’ option at the top of the pop-up, not the post.
I’ve now looked at the media library, which lists all photos, including those posted OK. Beside each photo is three options – edit, delete permanently, or view. I cannot see a ‘show’. If I click on ‘view’ for the photos that didn’t go on the post, it’s odd – they appear under the post name, but completely independently from the text. If I click on the post heading at that point, I get the blog text (as showing to all visitors) but no photos. Does this help you to resolve it at all? Any advice gratefully received. Hope I’m not being an idiot. -
That is VERY odd. Can we confirm we’re talking about the blog linked to your name? And that you’re the administrator?
I’m going to suggest the Cookie Dance, because I don’t know what else to suggest at this point. Log out, clear browser cache and cookies, and restart the computer. That sometimes clears up odd problems.

Hi Raincoaster. Yes, I’m the administrator and the blog is as specified. I followed web instructions to clear cache and cookies, but the result is the same. I’ve noticed that the pop-up box to introduce the image seems ‘frozen’. I can only access ‘From Comp’, not the other three (Frm URL/Gallery/Media Lib). Also I noticed that when the image crunched, the number next to ‘Gallery’ increased (3 to 4). In addition, when viewed from media lib, all good photos appear under the post name independently from text, but the difference is that they appear on the text too. The latest doesn’t. (Perhaps you can see I’ve tried to load the same photo four times.) I hope this is clear – I’ll be pleased to clarify if need be. Er…any other suggestions? With thanks,
