Photos have disappeared from my blog

The photos have gone from all my blog posts, except for the most recent – HELP! Please!

have you been deleting pictures from your media library – the missing pictures generate a 404 not found
your site is also slow loading with a lot of content – use the More Tag to speed up loading and not kill their browser – slow loading is a major reason people do not visit sites

Yes, thanks – I just realised that is what has happened – last post, I went over my allowable limit and deleted stuff in a hurry, should have been more careful. I have just purchased more space! Hope i can restore it all easily! Thanks for the tip about the slow loading – will have to work out how to do “More tag”

Common photo error – making pictures too large – the one picture I clicked on was 1.2 meg – and when I clicked on the picture for enlarge all the view went away – would not fit in the browser window – you need to optimize the images for the web – 1.2 meg is mostly a waste I think
I beat the daylights out of my pictures and shrink them as much as possible – but I have a different site than you do – you would want a bit more quality than I need for a how to tie a knot or other boating safety how to do things

There should be some guidelines for pictures on the web at these two links – you might want to do some testing to see how small you can make the file size and still hold the quality you want to showcase your work
