Photos in post no longer clickable for larger version

All my posts since my post from May 4, 2021 do not have clickable photos. All my posts from the beginning through May 4th you can click on the photo and get the full res version. I’ve posted three times since then and NONE of the pages have clickable photos. I’ve made no changes to my settings. I can edit the post and then click the photo and click the edit icon, but it does not have any options for what to open when the photo is clicked. I believe it used to do that. Right now all my posts are being done with a single Classic block. This has worked since you forced the use of the block editor. Now all of a sudden none of my photos in new posts are clickable and there is no option to make them clickable. What the heck is going on?

  • Hi there!

You can copy the link to the image and link it from the post. For that, click on the image and then on the link icon in the toolbar.

I’d also recommend using Image Blocks for that; it’s easier there:

    https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/image-block/#block-toolbar.

Also, remember that with your plan, you can support directly via https://wordpress.com/help/contact. That way, you can get help faster.
