Photos in Posts Not Gallery

  It’s a Monday and my brain is still in bed. Consequently, I cannot think of how to do this, even though I know I’ve done it once before.

  How do I add a photograph to a post and not to the photo gallery? Nothing I do seems to work and I cannot figure out what I’m doing wrong. :(
