Photos not displayed full-width

    Photo’s do not display full width on some pages, on other pages they do.
    Try looking at

    versus
    http://josvanbaal.wordpress.com/portfolio/medische-zorg/huize-st-anna/

    I cannot find the difference. Thanks for your help

    In both cases you had inserted the images selecting the Large option (I cannot know if you had set your own defaults for this option in Settings > Media). But the page “huize-st-anna” is more recent than the other one. At some point WP decided to constrain images to the width of the post or page column, even if you select a size option whose default is wider. And that’s correct. Unfortunately it is based on the default column width: it doesn’t take into account the no-sidebar template you have selected. There’s no way to override this other than by modifying the code of each image manually. If you are interested in doing this, let me know.

    By the way, you’ve been uploading unnecessarily large files: that’s simply a waste of storage space. Ideally you should resize copies of your images in an image editing application to the appropriate pixel dimensions, and upload and insert those copies.

    Thanks a lot for your explanation. I already thought that WP had made a change. Yes, I’m interested in how to modify the code of each image.

    And thanks for the tip on the size of my images. I will have a look at it.

    You’re welcome.
    In the text editor, each image shortcode should look like this:
    [caption id="attachment_528" align="aligncenter" width="551"]<img class="wp-image-528" alt="Gefixeerd" src="http://josvanbaal.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/hdr-st-anna-01.jpg" width="551" height="472" />Gefixeerd[/caption]

    You need to
    a) set the first width number to 800,
    b) delete the other width and height commands,
    c) add this after img:
    style=”width: 800px;”

    That is, turn the whole thing to this:
    [caption id="attachment_528" align="aligncenter" width="800"]<img style="width: 800px;" class="wp-image-528" alt="Gefixeerd" src="http://josvanbaal.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/hdr-st-anna-01.jpg" />Gefixeerd[/caption]
