Photos not displaying in posts

I’ve made a few successful posts but photos in my latest post aren’t displaying for everyone viewing the blog. When I view my blog they sometimes appear, sometimes don’t. Previous blogs were written in the UK and one in Quito, I’ve had the problem since coming down to the coast of Ecuador. I’m using an iPad, mainly writing posts through Safari as I find the app limiting. I could get hold of a PC if. I need to do something as a one off to fix this. I’ve tried scaling down the pics and changing display size to no avail.
Would really appreciate any help that’s going! Thanks in advance.

Can you tell me how you are including the images in your posts?
It looks like in your most recent post the figure and a elements are included, and the image is in your media library, but the img element is not there at all.
In the post before that everything has worked fine though so I’m not sure why there would be a difference. Did you insert images in different ways?

Thanks for the prompt reply! I tap Add Media then upload the images I want for the post from the camera roll. I scale them down, normally to 50% and add a caption. I save the image and then tap Insert into Post. I don’t think I’ve done anything different all along. Thanks again.

Very strange, especially since you say that the images sometimes do show up – I can’t see the images in the page code at all. Have you edited the posts to try and fix it, maybe that would be why they started and stopped appearing.
As for them not being loaded in the first place I can only imagine it’s something to do with your connection failing if you’re out on the road somewhere remote. Can you try going into your most recent post, deleting the images (just from the post, not from the media library) and then re-inserting them?

Hi Halluke, I deleted the photos from the blog and reinserted them but don’t think it made any difference. When I went into the post from a laptop they didn’t appear but when I looked at the post from WordPress they were. Any further hints and help from you gratefully received…

You might consider trying to redo the post but in the classic editor rather than the new one.
Also you consider trying it without captions?
I am not seeing the pictures and I am using Mozillia v32.

Hi pcosta88, i think that removing the captions has worked! On my ipad it seems to flip between the classic and new editor so i can’t exclude that and i did upgrade to ios 8 in the mean time. But I think it was the captions. I will borrow a laptop later and make sure it has worked but I’m fairly confident. thanks for the tip, you’re a superstar!

If you still want captions you might consider having to single-space them beneath the picture.
