photos not inserting

I did as tellyworth suggested and this post https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=27582&replies=2
seems to be working ok for now! =) -
Before doing a reload, do the full Cookie Dance: log out, clear browser cache and cookies, restart the computer, and go back to your blog. That should utterly wipe out the problem.
If the problem you’re having isn’t uploading, but getting the images into the posts once their uploaded, follow my instructions here:

Ok this photo up loader sucks I tried to post a picture
to my new post I’m trying to get done.. And every Time I
click “insert to post” the up loader page disappears
and causes the editor to freeze up…Browser Firefox/2.0.0.14
flash win 9.0.124.0
Windows XP
blog URL http://teckline.wordpress.com -
Until they fix it, just grab the URL and put it in the post via the Image Icon. Don’t even bother with the “Insert in post” thing. Staff knows it’s a problem and hopefully they’re fixing it, but in the meantime that will work just fine.

Thanks telllyworth, that helped a bit at least as now I can see the whole box. But I probably remain cretinous: raincoaster, I am in XP not Vista, once I upload a pdf file it goes into gallery and stays there: where is its URL for me to cut and paste?
-
I haven’t uploaded a pdf so I’m going to have to guess. When I upload an image I get a bunch of options: title, caption, description, and formatting options below. You don’t get that?
Okay, go to the Gallery, click on Show beside the image. It should give you the URL there. If not, I’m out of ideas.

Thanks anyway. I am sure Support will be on its way before too long on this whole thing.

“There’s something wrong with the image uploader. The full box does not show up in my browser window (IE) all of a sudden. It’ll download the image and “crunch” it but I can’t scroll down to the bottom in order to insert it in my blog entry. I wish you hadn’t changed the way this is done. It’s much too complicated now. Please fix this glitch!”

Hmm, I just went to my Write page and noticed that now I have this issue, too. Swell.
Anyway, if you go to the Media Library and right-click on the image, then Show Properties, you can copy the URL. It will be the URL just for the thumbnail, though, and it will look something like:
http://raincoaster.wordpress.com/files/2008/04/disney-lingerie-ad.jpg?w=128What you do is just copy that and use it, remembering to cut off the ?w=128 part.
It’s a lot of steps, but it should work.
