Photos not Uploading

For a couple days now, I’ve tried to upload new photos for a new post, but I keep getting response: “An error occured in the upload. Please try again later.” Even tried uploading old photos just to make sure it wasn’t a problem with that pic. No luck. Have 95% alloted disk space still free. What’s up?

did you try the browser uploader instead of the flash uploader. On other computers when I would try to upload pictures and I got an error message, all I had to do was switch to the browser uploader and it worked.
When you goto upload a picture the browser uploader link is right below the “select files” button.

Try logging out, clearing your browser cache and cookies, restarting your browser and then try again. Sometimes this is a cookie or a cache problem.

This happened in two different browsers. Restarting, clearing cache, basically all anti-malware steps didn’t work. “Browser” upload still works OK- good suggestions. Sometimes forget about the feature. But, I wonder what happened in last couple of days that made Java uploader non-functional. Was nice to use. Oh well. Thanks.

Keep trying it. It may be that they are rolling out some minor upgrades in the background this week and I’m sure things will straighten out.

I too am having uploading problems – from .doc files from my own HDD. It only started after the new dashboard appeared. Any suggestions what I might be doing wrong? The uploader says it’s done it but the link isn’t live when I view the post.

Different problem, esfscience. Please provide a link to your wordpress.COM blog and consider linking it in your user name as explained in the sticky, 8 Things, at the top of the forums. In the meantime, have you clicked on the link to url in the upload screen?
