Photos not uploading!

I’ve had a blog here for over a year and use Windows 8. When I go to upload photos (I am attempting several dozen) it will only actually upload five. I get no error message; it just won’t upload my photos at all.
I just paid for membership and have 30 gigs of space, so that’s not the issue either.
What’s going on?

I’m sorry that you thought adding more storage space would resolve the issue.
There are many possibilities so I can only guess as my tests show no issues with uploading images.
1. Make sure that all images are accepted types such as jpg or png. You cannot upload BMP, RAW, TIFF or other image types.
2. Check the filesize of the images you are uploading. Ensure they are less than 100K (give or take – that’s an average for a decent resolution and quality image) and not 2-20 megabytes. If they are too big, the upload may just time out and stop.
3. Check the Media Library to ensure the images are not there. The images may have uploaded and confirmations not be seen.
4. Check the names of the images. Ensure there are no odd characters such as #$%^><))+_ or punctuation in the image name such as sad.s@lly!.p#<ture.jpg. Though it is rare, odd punctuation or characters in the image title can cause an image not to upload as they do not meet basic web standards for image file names.
5. Update your browser or do not use Internet Explorer. Use a web browser that is considered modern and up-to-date. Sometimes issues with web browsers may cause problems, so if your browser is current, change to another and see if the upload experience changes.
